Free Leveling Guide

In the last post, I had promised to give away a free wow leveling guide. So here it is. This free leveling guide is actually a combination of two addons, as I have mentioned in the previous post. The two addons is TourGuide and TomTom. Maybe some of you have using both or either one this addon. I bet you’re already felt easier to either leveling, questing or grinding using TourGuide.

TourGuide

TourGuide is a quest addon. It has it own database of quest or more accurately, list of to-do in every zone. This list is called guide. The guide is divided by zone, mean every zone has its own guide and you have to select which zone’s guide list to show. You can choose zone by going to the config panel of addon and select zone. You can tick at quest that has been completed. Not all guides are consists of quest. There are several areas that are list of grinding job because those are is a good grinding place, such as Blasted Land.

Using TourGuide help you keep track of thing that need to be done as soon as you going into a zone. Among the thing that a listed in TourGuide is accept quest, turn in quest, complete quest, kill mob, set hearth, use hearth, get flight point, fly to, buy item, use item, run to, and boat to. TomTom

TomTom is traveling addon where it helps putting an arrow, pointing to waypoint you set. Why use TomTom with TourGuide makes it a free leveling guide? This is because TourGuide can automatically create waypoint for you on map. TomTom is a little-GPS style navigation arrow, like in Crazy Taxi, which direct you to the next objective or waypoint. But not all quest have automatic-waypoint-create function. Sometimes you need to figure out yourself where to go and put the waypoint manually. To sum it all, TomTom can help you not to get lost while questing or traveling.

TourGuide does not provide coords for every single objective. If you are lost check with LightHeaded or Wowhead and submit a bug so notes can be added to the objective.”

While using free leveling guide is a good alternative to save up you money from buying premium guide such as Joana Horde Leveling guide or iDemise Leveling Guide, it is always better to get a paid guide rather than a free guide. Nowadays, a paid guide makes use of addon for their guide, rather than to press alt-tab to switch between wow and guide. Moreover, if you somewhat feeling afraid that you will gain nothing from the guide, try to share money to buy a guide (I do not know whether sharing guide is legal or not). Never afraid of buying a guide since all their promise is true and it is proved. You can also ask for a refund if you are not satisfy. Avoid try to buy unknown guide just because they are cheap. The simplest way to turn the combat log on is to type /combatlog in the chat window. That will tell the WoW client to start a WoWCombatLog.txt in your WoW/Logs directory. When you want to turn it off, simply type /combatlog again. As simple as that is however, it can get tiresome to turn it on and off every time you zone and re-zone. I recommend using the Loggerhead addon to make things easier. It allows you to tell it which instances/zones you want a combat log for, and then automatically turns it on when you enter that zone.

Enhanced tooltips

If you have Lootlink or ItemSync installed, you can make use of tooltips generated by them as an alternative of the default tooltip. I recommend the Lootlink tooltips, they handle data not in your local cache perfectly.

If an item has (no iteminfo) after it you can only get the tooltip via Lootlink or ItemSync. Be careful with ItemSync, it is unstable on items not seen on your server (just the way ItemSync is). Lootlink works a treat.

Chat Links

Just shift-click items to link in the chat window. Two modes: Chat Links Safe Mode: Can only link items without the (no iteminfo) tag. Slight chance of disconnect if you have an item in your local cache the server has not seen for a while, but unlikely. Chat Link ALL ITEMS: USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Strong chance of disconnects, especially on items your server hasn’t seen yet.

Dressing Room

Control-click on ’safe’ loot to use the dressing room.

EquipCompare

Use of EquipCompare can now be controlled through the options menu.

Mendwatch:
