Loading ...Sometimes in healing intensive fights, you may have to start spam Holy Lights for a while, i find useful this macro for mana efficient/big heals at least when the others healers can top everyone:
/cast Divine Favor
/cast Divine Illumination
/use [place healing trinket here]
for a stronger Holy Light
/use 13;
/use 14;
/cast Holy Light;
for a stronger Flash of Light
/use 13;
/use 14;
/cast Flash of Light;
This macro doesn´t trigger the Global Cooldown so you can start casting ASAP.
13 and 14 are your trinket slots, top and bottom respectively. You don’t have to type the name of the trinket. (This works doubly well if one of your trinkets is a Lower City Prayerbook, since that trinket does not share a cooldown with other trinkets, or a Redeemer’s Alchemist Stone or another trinket that has no On Use effect. The macros will activate both trinkets at the same time when you press the button once to cast the spell.)
Be careful with macros like this on any fight where you have to equip your PvP trinket (Rage, Archimonde, etc)! The last thing you want to do is use that trinket during the very first heal you cast, leaving you screwed for the next 2 minutes. Use the name of the trinket instead of the slot number for those situations.
Another strategy for trinket macros is to macro the trinkets into the low rank HL you use to keep Light’s Grace up. You’re going to be casting that spell frequently enough during a fight to activate your trinkets every cooldown. Even better, you have greater control over when you use the trinkets so that you’re not blowing them on the trash right before a boss, for example.
Sidenote: I didn’t see it mentioned above. Using different ranks of HL in different situations is a very good idea. Your bar should be more than max rank FoL and HL.
Sidenote #2: The following macro is great for Holy Shock. Press the button – If Divine Favor is up, it’s a crit, if it’s not, it’s just a regular Holy Shock.
